As a designer, this site strikes a chord with me. Though climate change doesn’t fall into the main categories of this site, it isn’t far off considering the end goal, and sometimes we make an exception. This is one.

Design Can Change focuses on how graphic design and other design related industries, architecture and product design for example, can help make a difference. Why should we be concerned? Design Can Change offers that ‘designers are so close to the issue, that they are uniquely positioned to make a difference.’ By making simple changes both in our lives and at work, we can help change perceptions and spread awareness. Design Can Change presents simple information about global warming and our contributions to it and offers thinking points for the design process, like considering the shelf-life of your design, as well as production concepts and greening your studio.

If you work in the design field, you can make a pledge with Design Can Change and your information will be listed in a directory of other studios and professionals who have done the same.
