Overfishing Resources, Learn What’s Safe

As most of us are aware at this point, our oceans are being overfished at an alarming rate. At our present rate of fishing and population growth, we stand a good chance of destroying the ecosystems of our most enjoyed fish in our lifetimes. For any tuna or swordfish fan, this is a scary thought.

In my surfing this morning (pun intended) I came across two really useful sites, Overfishing.org, a website dedicated to the topic, and a Seafood Watch Pocket Guide powered by the Monteray Bay Aquarium. They are both full of great information, and I learned about what types of fish I should avoid in my region and what types are the best to get. Fortunately, I can still eat tuna. Click on your region and find out more.
