Not only are these iPod cases from 45 iPod Cases freakin awesome, they’re made from reclaimed 7″ records and cassette tapes. An ingenious idea that begs the question, “why the hell didn’t I think of that first!” I can’t even imagine how many old tapes and records are ending up in the landfill (at least records are collectible), and the idea of using antiquated formats to house and protect new music formats brings up all sorts of metaphors and symbols, not to mention memories of tape decks and record players, wood paneling and smoky basements.

Reusing is far more ecological than recycling and this is a great way to do it. The records are made into cases for the 4th to 6th generation classic ipods and you can get artists from Billy Joel to Tchaikovsky to Foreigner to Elvis Presley to satisfy any taste. The cassette tapes are made for the iPod Nano and made from Maxell and TDK tapes.
