BPA Free Sippy Cups

I don’t have a baby, nor do most of my friends, but for those who do BPA is a hot word in the products department. As WebMD reports, some of the chemicals in plastics can lead to genetic damage and has been linked to “low sperm count, hyperactivity, early puberty, obesity, small testes size, and enlarged prostates,” in animal studies. A quote from the article states:
“The effect we saw is pretty dramatic,” Hunt tells WebMD. “We were stunned by how low a dose it took. I am becoming pretty convinced there are significant effects [of BPA] at pretty low exposures.”
It’s clear to see why we should avoid plastic as much as possible, but what else do you give your baby? NatureMoms.com just finished a two part post about BPA free sippy cups for your baby and where you can buy them. With a comprehensive list and reasons why to buy them, it’s a must read for any expecting or current mother.
