Could it be true? A large oil company investing in natural processes? Believe it or not, it’s happening, or so Shell says. There has been much speculation and research into the idea of algae being able to produce biofuel, but to my knowledge, no company has been able to create enough to make it a worthwhile venture.

…yet.

I’m skeptical about a large oil company doing this, but hopefully Shell and HR Biopetroleum, who formed a joint venture called Cellana, will be able to make this worthwhile for all parties involved.
